Resources and Environment
EDITORIAL
POLICY OF THE JOURNAL
The
magazine ENGINEERING OF
NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT
aims to become a prestigious
stage of scientific thinking
to disseminate high quality
academic work in the field
of engineering and management
of natural resources and
environment. In this sense,
the Journal is in a meeting
and from the multidisciplinary
scientific debate for understanding,
discussion and dissemination
of methods, techniques and
technologies for the identification,
quantification and management
of impacts of natural and
human activities that affect
quality of life of society.
Are
welcome for publication,
original work (which has
not been published in other
media, printed or electronic)
for research, reflection
and review on the following
topics: planning and sustainable
management of watersheds,
methods and processes of
quantification environmental
pollution; design works
for the use and sustainable
management of natural resources
and economic analysis, social
and administrative framework
for the management of natural
resources, environment and
public services related
research in agriculture
and sustainable development.
The
Review is an annual edition
in which articles are published
evaluated according to the
following process:
First,
the item is received and
evaluated by the Editorial
Board, which determines
whether it conforms to the
editorial of the magazine
and if you meet the requirements
set out in the instructions
for authors. If the item
does not meet the above
criteria will be returned
to their authors to make
appropriate modifications
before the close of the
call.
Second,
once closed the opening
date, accepted papers will
be sent to two pairs or
arbitrators who are recognized
specialists in technical
and scientific capacity
in the area know about the
item. Items are sent to
reviewers without the identity
of authors to ensure the
fairness of assessments.
Third,
the referees will have a
maximum of three months
to produce their concept
on paper, during which he
will pronounce (depending
on the format prepared by
the editorial board) on
the originality, conception,
methodology, consistency
of results, conclusions
and relevance of the literature
used.
Fourth,
if the recommendations of
the reviewers agreed (positive
or negative), the Editorial
Committee shall act accordingly,
according to peer evaluations
that will be sent to the
authors for carrying out
modifications and adjustments.
When there is a difference
of opinion between the evaluators,
the evaluation will be requested
of a third arbitrator who
shall define the recommendation
on article take the Editorial
Committee.
The
Editorial Committee will
make the decision to publish
the article on the document
finally corrected by the
authors and in accordance
with the recommendations
in this regard do peer reviewers.
The content of the articles
are the sole responsibility
of the authors.

an overview of the status
of a specific domain of
science and technology,
its evolution over a period
of time, which identifies
the prospects for its
development and future
developments.

1.
Articles must
be submitted in word processing
format of Microsoft Word
or Open Office Writer
and portable hard-coded
file type PDF in Acrobat
Reader, the e-mail address
of the editorial assistant
(revistaeidenar@univalle.edu.co),
attached a letter to the
Director of the magazine
and which shows the relevance
of your article in a thematic
framework of reference
for the review and description
of the authors (name,
academic and institutional
affiliation), which authorizes
the Editorial Committee
to submit their contributions
to the arbitration of
the peer reviewers to
be appointed.
2. Contributions
may be written in English,
Spanish or Portuguese,
using the Arial font throughout
the text with font size
12 dpi and a space and
interline separation medium.
All margins should be
three inches. Contributions
may not be over 20 letter
size pages, as described
typographic features.
3. The
title of the article is
written in capital letters
and should reflect in
a synthetic manner the
purpose of the article.
Should be centered between
the margins of the page,
written in Arial, highlighted
in bold and font size
18 dpi.
4. The
first line after the title
contains the names of
the authors as follows:
Carlos A. Aguirre (1)
and Ana M. Cabal (2),
written in Arial, with
font size 12. Symbols
should be indicated, as
a superscript to signify
the profession then, and
institutional affiliation
of each of the authors.
5. On
the next line quoted occupation
or title and institutional
affiliation of the authors,

6. You
must include a summary
of the article in Spanish
and then the key words
(no more than five), written
in Arial, with font size
10. The abstract should
not exceed 200 words.
7. The
summary in English (abstract)
as a correct translation
of the summary in Spanish,
including, Next, the keywords
(keywords) as an accurate
translation of the abstract
keyword, written in Arial,
with font size 10 dpi.
8. All
items must contain subtitles
written in capital letters.
Suggested for the following
content in this order:
ABSTRACT, ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION,
MATERIALS AND METHODS,
RESULTS, DISCUSSION, ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
and REFERENCES. The numeral
of each section should
be written in bold, font

9. When
Abbreviations should be
explained the first time
it is used in the text.
Example: Contingent Valuation
Method (CVM).
10. The
illustrations are expressed
as figures and tables
(Arabic numerals) and
are included at the end
of the text. In the text
must be referenced with
their respective headers.

and tables are part of
the text is written out
completely and sensitive.
The figure captions are
listed on separate sheets
at the end of the manuscript.

literature cited is entered
at the end, under the
title REFERENCES, in alphabetical
order by author, without
numbering as referred
to several articles by
the same author, they
are presented chronologically.
Each reference should
include the following:
a. Name
of the author and co-authors,
beginning with the first
name followed by the initials
of the names.
b. Year
of publication in parentheses.
c. Full
title of the article.
d. Name
of the magazine.
e. Volume,
start and end pages of
the article.

the literature cited in
the text when referencing

figures or photos taken
from other publications
must submit a copy of
the authorization of the

for publication, the author

the property of the Journal
